To provide participants with the knowledge and skills to operate and maintain a chainsaw in a safe manner.

COURSE CONTENT
• Perform routine daily maintenance on a chainsaw
• Chain sharpening
• Cross cutting fallen timber to the ground
 
ASSESSMENT
• Classroom Participation
• Written Exam
 
DURATION
8 hours (1 day) - for competent user
16 hours (2 days) - for beginner
 
PREREQUISITES
• Ability to use and understand basic English
